Rail Simulators official forums are primarily for supporting users and developers. By registering an account you are willing / able to abide by the guidelines and accept the rules shown below.
Account Creation
- If you wish to create an account, the account must be accurate. Appropriate information must be used in light of the fact there is no minimum age requirement to view the forums.
- Avatar images are permitted as part of a users personal signature to their posts, however this system must not be abused. Any such abuse of the avatar image system will be dealt with accordingly.
- No person may open more than one account.
General Usage:
- The forums are for all users, new to the hobby and advanced experts alike.
- Remember this is a support forum and NOT a general discussion forum.
- Before posting a question, be sure to check thoroughly to determine whether it has already been covered. If not, the first response may well be the topic you are after.
- Do not act abusively. If you have a problem carry it out in private. If someone has engaged in such behaviour that is a detriment to the message board -- spamming, flaming people, etc -- contact one of the forum moderators. Trying to respond to the offensive user will only increase the problem.
- Please post in the correct forums.
- Administrators/Moderators reserve the right to change, edit, or delete any content at any time if they feel it is inappropriate.
- Above all - Respect others and you will be treated with respect. Be rude and disrespectful, and you may be treated with the same.
Multiple Posts:
- Do NOT post the same topic in multiple forums. If you are unsure of which forum a thread should go under, just state that in your post, and a moderator may move the thread to the correct forum. Multiple posts are unnecessary and will be deleted.
- Do NOT post the same question multiple times in multiple threads. If no one responds to your question or request follow the guidelines on the support page of the main site. Alternatively you can wait a little longer in case no one has been able to help since you posted your initial question. Repeated questions will not be answered any faster.
- Signature Restrictions: Text lines / Signature Pictures - these are limited to one line of text only. Pictures / images are not allowed to be added to your signature. This is what the Avatar is available for.
- Links to other sites, personal or not, are not allowed, nor is discussion about them. Restrict your posting to matters about 'Rail Simulator Support' only. General discussion is not permitted on these forums. Alternative community sites are available for such discussion.
- Text speak is not permitted. Please post your text in a clear to read format.
Message Formatting:
- Do NOT abuse the formatting functionality when posting messages or they may be edited by the moderators, or just deleted.
Inappropriate Content:
- Do NOT make inappropriate or offensive posts - including threats, harassment, swearing, prejudice, slander, racism or deliberate insults/name-calling, or other negative remarks about any person, group or company, its moderators and administrators, or fellow members.
- Do NOT try to degrade or discredit Rail Simulator or any other products, their developers and websites, or their customers. This includes slander and other offensive comments.
- Do NOT POST adult content. Any inappropriate or offensive posts will be deleted.
- If your post uses images obtained from the internet, please make sure that you make it clear where the image came from so that it does not appear that you are claiming the image to be your own.
- Participants must not post messages containing personal phone numbers or addresses. If at any point the Rail Simulator development team require this information, they will contact you directly in private to obtain it. Any such information will be removed if found.
