Where the Rail Simulator default objects are concerned, we have given items that are to be used near the track side, detailed shadows (These are built into the model before it gets into Rail Simulator). For items mid distance from the track we use the shadow property in the objects blueprint (This is a setting named 'has blobby shadow'). Finally for items to be placed far away from the track we have not used any shadow techniques.
An exception to this rule is overly complicated scenery such as the animated folklift and truck being loaded. It is possible that some of these such items did not get shadows due to time contraints.
Could someone tell me what
Could someone tell me what option in 3d max is for shadows?
