RailSimulator.com is pleased to announce the re-release of four fantastic official add-ons to be made available on Steam. Initially created for Rail Simulator these add-ons have now been upgraded for RailWorks, including graphical enhancements and additional scenarios. All this and with more great new add-ons coming soon, makes RailWorks the place to be this summer.
Four Add-ons coming to RailWorks on Steam:
Class 158 Diesel Multiple Unit
The Class 158 sprints onto RailWorks in four different liveries with many scenarios waiting for you to take charge. Taking place on the Oxford-Paddington, Bath-Templecombe and Hagen-Siegen routes, the variety of roles this passenger train has experienced over its 30 year life are showcased in great detail.
Class 66 Diesel Locomotive
With this iconic locomotive featuring heavily on both UK and European freight networks, why not take control of your very own Class 66 in RailWorks. Featuring six different liveries across a variety of British and European operations, experience the power of this American beast hauling a wide range of freight and passenger trains.
Class 08 Diesel Shunter Locomotive
The ever-present 08 Shunter has worked hard in British freight yards for well over 50 years. The official Class 08 Shunter by RailSimulator.com will let you experience this amazing locomotive first hand, performing its bread and butter tasks.
Including no less than 12 authentic variants to use in your own routes and scenarios, this add-on is a must for any diesel enthusiast.
Isle of Wight
The south of England holiday destination that is the Isle of Wight is bought to life in this official add-on for RailWorks. Including both the Island Line and Isle of Wight Steam Railway, you can experience both history and modern transport in one, by choosing from the Class 483 Electric Multiple Unit as well as the 0-4-0ST Hawthorn Leslie "Invincible" steam locomotive. More than 15 scenarios are included, allowing you to drive many varied and exciting missions.
Existing Customers
Existing customers who have purchased these add-ons for Rail Simulator will be able to continue the fun via RailWorks backwards compatible functionality. While they may not feature all the new elements offered in the upgrade versions, you can install your existing add-ons directly into RailWorks via the included Package Manager. Details on exactly how to take advantage of this great feature will be appearing soon.
